Folk Dances from Near and Far Archives

Each issue of Let’s Dance! is published with one or more dance descriptions by the the Research Committee of the Folk Dance Federation of California. Especially in the early days, the Research Committee also published collections of dance descriptions as a separate publication named Folk Dances from Near and Far. Beginning in 1945, issues of Folk Dances from Near and Far would be published periodically. Then in the 1960s the Research Committee reorganized the dance notes and published new volumes organized by type and difficulty. The last volume was published in 1983. This is our online archive of these volumes. Volumes will be added to this archive as time permits.
