The Astonished Archaeologist was created by Philippe Callens. The tune is Goff Hall by Dan Lanier. Philippe wrote this dance in the autumn of 1992 and dedicated it to Mik Lammers (who has a degree in archaeology), the piano player with the band The Little Tinkers. This dance was presented by Bruce Hamilton at the 2022 Stockton Folk Dance Camp at University of the Pacific.
